UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta's Son, Nicco, Just Proved All of His H8ers Wrong

Winning at life has clearly not skipped a generation in the Fertitta family.
We already know Lorenzo Fertitta is a billionaire a couple times over with Station Casinos and Zuffa. And the UFC CEO’s oldest son, Lorenzo Jr., was a star football player at powerhouse Bishop Gorman HS in Las Vegas and now plays for Villanova. Well, as it turns out, Nicco, Fertitta’s middle child, might actually be better on the gridiron than his brother.

Nicco, who also plays at Gorman, received a scholarship offer from Notre Dame recently – a full ride, he tweeted – and he already has offers from the likes of Hawaii and Boston College, according to Scout.com. The recruiting service has the 5-foot-11, 200-pound Nicco ranked as the 30
th-best safety in the country and a three-star recruit. Not too shabby.

In his tweet, Nicco said he was “proving the haters wrong.” Well, of course he’s going to have haters. His dad is extremely rich and eminently successful in two separate business ventures. People are going to cry that Nicco is only getting these offers because of his father and that he doesn’t need the scholarship because his pops is loaded.

Fuck yeah Nicco, you got a scholarship offer, fuck the h8ers bro! This is your world and we're all just living in it. Though if I'm being completely honest, I'm pretty sure I just joined the ranks of Nicco's haters. Mainly because I can't stand when any privileged white person uses the word "haters" seriously. So for my sake, I hope Nicco gets offered by Alabama or Florida State. Somewhere with a lot of big black guys who had legitimate struggles growing up, somewhere with a lot of big black guys who had legitimate struggles growing up who also hate rich white kids that get handed everything in life. Real haters, haters who can legitimately kill people if they wanted to, not just a bunch of jealous nerds from some prep school in Vegas.

Serious question for a second: is it just me or does 30th place seem kind of pathetic for someone who has literally every advantage/performance enhancing drug at their disposal? Bro your dad runs the UFC. It basically accounts for like 20% of all PED use in professional sports*, get serious and do some steroids or something. Like do you even want to be good at football? And I know what you're thinking. But Slim you're not allowed to use HGH and growth hormones, that kind of stuff is illegal. Rule number one of being a white guy in a primarily black sport: if you ain't cheatin' then you ain't tryin'.

And since when does "proving your haters" wrong means getting a scholarship? Now granted I've never met Nicco, but I'm pretty sure people hate him for a couple other reasons besides the fact that he's an alright high school football player. And as for them doubting him, the scholarship is just the first hurdle, now he's got to go out and actually succeed on a college football field - no easy task for a 5'11 white dude.

PS - I'm so torn by the UFC. On the one hand I like watching two guys beat the living shit out of each other for my entertainment but at the same time I feel like every single person that is even remotely associated with the sport is a complete and utter douchelord. Excluding Nicco, that is. Nicco seems pretty down to earth.

*I completely just made that number up but for all I know it could be dead on. Ignorance is bliss.
