What's this a picture of, you ask? Oh nothing, just Kevin Durant's last 12 games. Not too shabby I guess, if you like guys that average 34 pts, 6 reb, and 6 ast per game that is. Pretty insane to think that he's still just 25 too. Kind of makes you wonder - what if he didn't have Russell Westbrook all this time and started his career like LeBron did in Cleveland with no help from anyone? Can you imagine how incredible he would be right now? Keep in mind that this is essentially the first time since his rookie campaign that he's had to be the only guy. Now let's hope he keeps this up for the rest of the season because I for one am so fucking sick and tired of LeBron winning MVP at the end of every season. Just doing whatever the hell he wants, having the world bow down to him and getting blatant HJs from every chick in South Florida. I can't stand another second of looking at that balding fuck being all happy and successful and shit.
And a lot of people started giving Durant shit last year after OKC folded in the playoffs, but realistically you can't blame him for any of that. The team simply lost one of its centerpieces and the shock of that caused them to under-perform. The same exact thing happened two years ago when Rose went down for the Bulls. The Thunder were built to win with a certain style of play last season, one that relied on both Westbrook and KD rising to the occasion. With Westbrook out, they just didn't have enough time to figure out how to cope. This year, though, is a completely different story. As long as the Slim Reaper* is on the floor, this team is a serious threat to any and all in the league. Beware.
*Apparently Durant doesn't like the Slim Reaper nickname. I think it's sick though, so fuck him.
