Why does the NBA even have a lottery? Like there's a reason that no other league in the history of sports does this and that reason is because its stupid as fuck. Oh hey let's take the ten worst teams and pick out of a hat to see who wins, that's a great idea! For sure not, how about we just keep it simple and give the shittiest team the best possible pick. It's called leveling the playing field to keep the overall level of competition interesting, kinda common sense. Like why in the world would the bottom of the barrel team ever have to worry about where they'll get to draft? That's a ludicrous concept.
I'm just sick and tired of these same dogshit teams getting screwed out of picks year in and year out because the lottery fucks up the top of the draft. Just give them the pick they deserve and call it a day. Those talks about the NBA rigging the draft? Out the window. Yes, the helped out the Bulls with Rose (for a couple years) and the Cavs with Kyrie Irving after they got bamboozled by Lebron, but in the long run it shouldn't have a place in the draft. Like I said, every other league in the world uses the pick by record system for a reason - it works. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
